Start with berries defrosted in the fridge for the full packet time. Choose fruit labelled ready to eat after defrosting. The ready-in time starts with that preparation done.
Method
Prepare the fruit
Start with the weighed frozen berries fully defrosted in the fridge. Retain their juice. Check the packet allows eating after defrosting; no washing or hulling is needed for prepared frozen fruit.
Fill the cup
For the selected portions, measure 180 g cold soya milk, 150 g defrosted strawberries, 170 g skyr, 50 g oats. Split these totals into one-portion batches. Add soya milk and fruit first, then the skyr and oats. Keep below your cup’s maximum fill line; make smaller batches if needed.
Blend and drink
Secure the extractor blade, invert the cup, then push down and twist to run. Blend for 30 seconds, stop and check; use a further 10–15 seconds if needed. The NutriBullet has one speed, with no temperature setting. Never run continuously beyond 60 seconds; allow the motor and cup to cool before blending again. Wait for the blade to stop before removing the cup. If the mixture stops circulating, stop before opening and add some of the optional 30 g cold water, a little at a time, until the mixture circulates. Split extra water between batches. Serve straight away.
Keeping the rest
Blend just before drinking. Keep soya milk, skyr and defrosted berries refrigerated and follow their packet storage instructions.
Settings are per batch. For 1 portion, prepare 1 batch. Split the ingredient totals between batches; keep the settings the same. Timings are starting estimates unless the programme sets them automatically.
NutriBullet
Use the extractor blade and a compatible cup. Add liquid first, then the other cold ingredients. Stay below MAX; split the batch further if it does not fit.
Control
Single speed · push down and twist to run; untwist to stop.
Blend time
30 sec, then check. If needed, blend another 10–15 sec. No heat setting.
The timing is a recipe starting point. Do not run continuously for more than 60 sec. Let the cup and motor cool before repeating; stop the blade before opening.

Recipe notes
The listed amounts make one substantial breakfast serving. Depending on your glass, it may fill two glasses. Adjust future portions after trying it.
The exact NutriBullet cup size is not recorded. One portion per batch is the starting plan; smaller cups need additional batches and time. Never compress ingredients above the fill line.
These are everyday breakfast ingredients. No claim has been made that this smoothie is suitable during a run or will meet a specific recovery target.
Use plain, unsweetened skyr. Nutrition uses Arla Skyr Natural as a reference; check your tub if you use a different brand or variety.
If the packet requires cooking before eating, use a ready-to-eat alternative for this recipe. Do not blend cook-first frozen fruit raw.
